Shadeslip: Lighthouse Maze
Privacy policy
This policy covers the app Shadeslip: Lighthouse Maze, published by Sablebyte (an independent developer, sablebyte.com, listed on Google Play as Sablebyte.dev). Our other apps have their own policies, listed on the privacy page, which also covers the website. About the app: Shadeslip.
What we collect
We do not collect your personal information. Shadeslip has no accounts, no sign-in, no servers of ours and no analytics. We do not know who you are or how you play.
What stays on your device
Shadeslip saves the levels you have cleared, your best time on each level, the sea glass you have collected and your settings. This is stored only on your device. We never receive it. If you use Android's backup, Android may copy this data to your own Google account, under Google's backup settings and privacy policy, not ours.
Advertising
Shadeslip shows ads through Google AdMob. To show ads, Google and its ad partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, your IP address (which gives an approximate location), device and app details, and how you interact with ads. We do not receive this information from them.
- The only ad is one optional video that you choose to watch after the beam catches you, to carry on from where you were. Nothing appears between levels.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows a consent form from Google before any ad is requested. You can change your choice later in Settings, under Privacy & ad choices, then Review choices. That option appears only where Google's rules require the form.
- In some US states, the app may also show a similar privacy-choices form from Google.
- You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in your Android settings (Settings, Privacy, Ads).
How Google uses this information: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and Google's Privacy Policy.
Permissions
Shadeslip needs internet access (to load ads and the consent form) and vibration (for feedback during play). Google's advertising library adds a few technical permissions of its own, for example the advertising ID, network state and background work. None of them shows a prompt, and none gives us access to your files, contacts, camera, microphone or location.
Children
Shadeslip is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal information. We have none to share. Any information handled by Google's advertising services is covered by Google's policies above.
Your choices and rights
You can delete everything Shadeslip stored by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app, or use the reset options in the app's Settings: Reset progress clears your levels and records and keeps your settings, and Reset settings puts your settings back to their defaults and keeps your progress. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete. For questions, contact us below.
How long we keep information, and how it is deleted
We do not keep information about you, because we do not receive it. What Shadeslip saves on your device stays there until you delete it: clear the app's storage in Android settings, uninstall the app, or use the reset options in the app's Settings. Information that Google's advertising services handle is kept and deleted under Google's policies above.
How we protect information
Shadeslip keeps what it saves on your device, where your device's own protections apply, such as your screen lock and Android's separation between apps. We do not run servers that hold information about you, so there is nothing of yours for us to secure or lose. Information handled by Google's advertising services is protected under Google's policies.
Changes
We update this policy when Shadeslip changes, when the services it uses change, or when the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and earlier versions are listed at the bottom of this page.
If we make a significant change, such as collecting a new type of information, using it for a new purpose or sharing it with a new kind of partner, we will tell you on this website before the change takes effect. If a change needs your consent, we will ask for it first, and we will not apply the change to information collected before it without your consent.
If you do not agree with an update, you can change your choices in the app's Settings where that option is shown, stop using the app and uninstall it, or contact us at support@sablebyte.com.
Contact
Email: support@sablebyte.com
If you use the Contact & feedback button in Shadeslip, your email app opens a draft that already contains the app's version, your Android version and your phone's model, to help us fix problems. You can read and change it, and nothing is sent unless you send it. We use what you send us only to answer you.
